Open Arms Recovery Resource Center is an unfunded organization under the umbrella of SCCASA, that is able to operate through the generous donation of rent free space by Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Schoharie, NY. Our center will only grow through the support of the community itself. This is a place for the community, by the community to support people on the journey to conquer the disease of addiction. As we grow and see an increase in the utilization of the space we are going to need help. Would you consider being an Open Arms volunteer?

A volunteer is usually a member of the recovery community either through self-use or a family member of someone who has a substance use disorder. Howver we also would want a person who does not have lived or shared experience but sees the need and is interested in giving back and helping.  To become a volunteer a person needs to fill out the form below to start the process. A brief application will be filled out and submitted. They will contact the interested individual within the first 48 hours of submitting the application.  At that time the process is explained, including when the next volunteer orientation is, the different shifts and duties that are available and if interested set up for a time to come in and see the Center.
