Mission Statement: Our mission is raise awareness and to prevent illicit substance use and to build a healthier Schoharie County through collaboration among our community partners.

 

What: The Schoharie County Addiction Prevention Coalition is a coalition of community members, businesses, elected officials, law enforcement, non-profits, faith leaders, parents, people in recovery, service providers, students, healthcare professionals and educators that desires to reduce the problems associated with heroin and opioid misuse.  Our hope is for a county that is free from the harm of opioid use and misuse.

Where: Calvary Assembly of God at 960 Mineral Springs Road in Cobleskill

When: The 2nd Monday of every other month at:

3pm for Community Agencies in person, while simulcast on Zoom.

How: We work toward this aim through:

 

·         Monthly meetings

·         Strategic planning

·         Community Forums and Town Halls

·         Information dissemination

·         Networking

·         Educating Lawmakers and other community leaders

·         Advocating for policy change in institutions and government

·         Coordinating prevention and intervention efforts

·         Utilizing print media and social media messaging to educate the public
